(Please note: Your application cannot be processed and is not considered complete until it is signed and received by your local department.)
An interview will be required unless you meet the conditions for a waiver
.
Proof of identity (driver's license or picture I.D.), residence, income, resource and shelter expenses will be required.
There is also an application (The Virginia Food Connection) that allows Virginia residents to apply for multiple benefits from the following programs:
Women, Infants and Children (WIC)
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)
You may submit a partial application now, but you must complete the rest of the application and the interview process before your eligibility can be determined.
Before applying for WIC, applicants are encouraged to complete a preliminary eligibility screening.
The complete application takes about 15 minutes to 1 hour (depending on the programs you select). There is a rest stop between each of the
five sections that allows you to stop, save what you have entered and return later to complete the rest of the application. Once you have completed a section, you can not go back and make changes to that section.
