This component is responsible for program support, legislation analysis and regulation for development child day and residential programs. These programs include licensed child day centers, licensed family day homes, voluntarily registered family day homes, licensed family day care systems, adult day care centers, and adult care residences. The unit is also responsible for training, education, and consultation services for child day and adult day and residential program providers. The unit administers the Child Day Care Provider Scholarship Program and provides support to the Child Day-Care Council.
