A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on October 18, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. New subsidy requirements became effective on October 17, 2018. The on-site inspection was from 1:45 p.m. to 4:10 p.m. On this date, there were 22 children present and in the care of five staff members. There were two additional staff members available to assist if needed. There were 32 children enrolled in the center. Five staff members' records and five children's records were reviewed. Four classrooms were toured and observations were made in two of those rooms. Five staff members and three children were interviewed. There was no medication on-site or being administrated which is the new policy of the provider.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
