An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed today.
Sixty-four children were present in four rooms with eight staff.
Children were having group time including music and movement, playing outdoors and working in centers.
Medications, previous violations and files were reviewed for six children and five staff.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-J Description: Based on the review of the classrooms, the facility failed to lock all medications.
Evidence:
1. There were two bottles of over the counter medication in a cabinet above the sink in the green room. The cabinet was not locked but was inaccessible to children in care.Plan of Correction: Staff removed the staff medication and relocated it to the locked cabinet in the classroom.
