Technical assistance was provided regarding children's records.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today between the hours of 10:20am through 11:15am. There were a total of 2 children present ages 2 and 3 years old (4 points) with the Provider. A total of 2 children's files, the provider's file and 3 household member's files were reviewed. The children were engaged in the following: playing with trains and making train tracks, building with blocks, completing reading activities, washing hands, and having snack which consisted of crackers and juice. Positive interactions between the provider and children in care were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the programming space, children and staff records, evacuation drills, attendance, and emergency procedures were completed today. The provider does not administer medicine and advised there was no medication on site today. The provider has current CPR/First Aid certification. There was an abundant supply of age appropriate materials and toys and the home was clean and organized. Please contact me with any questions or concerns at morgan.bryson1@dss.virginia.gov.
