An announced initial Subsidy Health & Safety inspection was conducted today, August 12, 2019 to determine the family day home's compliance with Subsidy Health and Safety vendor requirements. The inspection was initiated at 12:40pm and concluded at approximately 2:30pm. One infant child totaling four points was present during this inspection. All subsidy requirements were reviewed and overall compliance determined. Administrative records and all areas of the family day home were inspected. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-400-A Description: Based on the inspection of administrative records, the emergency preparedness was missing a few of the required components. Evidence: During the inspection of the family day home's emergency preparedness plan, it was discovered the provider completed the emergency preparedness plan template for child day centers which is slightly different than the emergency preparedness plan template for family day homes. As a result, a few of the required components were not listed under each section, such as: 1. Methods to secure the family day home and locations; 2. Method used to alert caregivers and emergency responders; 3. Methods of communication with parents and emergency responders. Note: The emergency preparedness plan template for family day homes was given to provider during this inspection. Plan of Correction: Per provider: I will complete the template for family day homes within the next few days.
