Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based upon observation and staff interview, the facility has not ensured that potentially hazardous substances are kept in locked locations using a safe locking method that prevents access by the children.
Evidence:
1. There were two containers of shaving cream, labeled "caution, keep out of reach of children" in an unlocked cabinet under the counter in room 202.
2. Staff 1 verified that the containers of shaving cream had warning labels and were not in a locked location.Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following:
The shaving cream was immediately moved to a locked cabinet. All staff will be reminded that shaving cream must be kept in a locked cabinet when not being directly supervised by staff.

Evidence:
1. There was a small tray of Terro Ant Killer on the counter in room 303. The ant killer has a hazard warning label.
2. Staff 1 verified that the ant pesticide was on the counter.Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following:
The ant pesticide was removed to a locked cabinet during the inspection and will be removed to a storage area in an area not used by children. All staff will be reminded of the appropriate use and storage of pesticides.
