Thank you for your assistance and your time during this unannounced monitoring inspection. The visit was conducted on February 03, 2020 from 1:42 pm through 4:45 pm. There were thirty-eight children in the care of five staff. The assistant program administrator was available to assist, if needed. The total enrollment for the program was forty-four children. Five children records, five staff records, menus, first aid kits, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, health inspection, fire inspection, and posted required information were reviewed. Arrival/departure of children, snack (yogurt & peaches), handwashing and bathroom procedures, homework, indoor play/table play, and transitions were observed during this visit. Areas of non-compliance may be found on the violation notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-260-B Description: Based on review of documentation and interview, the center failed to have annual approval from the health department.
Evidence:
1. The last health inspection on file was dated 09/19/2018.
2. The program director verified that there had not been a health inspection completed since 09/19/2018.Plan of Correction: The program director will contact the health inspector and have him come immediately and do an inspection. Inspection scheduled for February 04, 2020. Documentation will be sent to the licensing inspector.
