Technical Assistance:
Discussed emergency plan procedures including the accommodation for infants, toddlers and children with special needs during the emergency .

Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on February 7,2020 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Four staff were present with eleven children. Additional staff was present to assist. Five children's records and four staff records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-500-F
Description: Based on interviews and observation, the vendor did not ensure to maintain, in a way that is accessible to all staff who work with children, a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions. This list shall be dated and kept confidential in each room or area where children are present.

Evidence: The center did not have written allergy list in each grouping.

Plan of Correction: The director will have a allergy list on each clipboard. It will updated at least once a year. .

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-540-A
Description: Based on record review, the licensee did not ensure there was a statement that the individual is determined to be free of communicable tuberculosis (TB) issued by physician. Documentation of the screening shall be submitted at the time of employment and prior to coming into contact with children.

Evidence: Staff# 1 ( hire date 1/23/2020) most recent TB test was 01/27/2020 and Staff# 2 ( hire date 12/3/2019) most recent TB test was 12/13/2019 both were not completed within 30 days before employment.

Plan of Correction: The center director will make sure the staff that are hire in the future will have T.B. test before there start date.
