A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on February 20, 2020 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The on-site inspection was from 10:25 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. On this date, there were 43 children present in five classrooms and in the care of ten staff members. There were three additional staff members available to assist if needed. There were 71 children enrolled in the center. Five staff members' complete records were reviewed and background and tuberculosis tests were reviewed for seven new staff members. Five children's records were reviewed. All five classrooms were toured and observations were made in three of those rooms. Six staff members and four children were interviewed. The medication and medication paperwork were reviewed for one child.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
