Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from approximately 10:40 AM until 1:00 PM to review supplemental health and safety requirements. In attendance were five non-resident children and one resident child. The children were being supervised by one caregiver during the inspection. There was a total of seven points based on the children?s ages. The children were observed playing outside, building with blocks, playing with toys, playing with a doll house, taking bathroom breaks and washing hands and eating lunch. Lunch consisted of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, hash browns, mandarin oranges, yogurt and milk. The caregiver was observed engaging the children in conversation and providing assistance when needed. A walk through of the home was conducted with the provider along with the outside play area. The child care areas were filled with supplies and toys for the children. During the inspection five children?s records, one provider?s record and one household member's record were reviewed. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. A violation was found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection and is identified on the violation notice. If you have any questions about this inspection, please contact the licensing inspector at (804) 662-9790.
