Comments:
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced renewal inspection on 10/28/2019 from 9:47am to 12:15pm. The children were playing with toys upon the inspector?s arrival. Today, there were five children, totaling 12 points, present with one caregiver. The caregiver was observed interacting with the children. An interview was held with the caregiver throughout the inspection. Additionally, when appropriate the inspector interacted with children.

The provider does not administer medication.
The provider does not provide transportation.
The provider has one pet.

Five children?s records, one household member records, and three caregiver/household member records were reviewed during the inspection.

Last shelter-in-place drill: 09/04/2019

The violations from the previous inspections were checked for corrections. There were two violations found during today?s inspection.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-520-A
Description: Based on observation and an interview, the provider did not ensure that cribs shall be provided for children from birth through 12 months of age.
Evidence:
The provider did not ensure that a crib was provided for child #2 to sleep in on the day of the inspection.

Plan of Correction: We will remove another child from the crib and place them on the mat because they are of age. Child #2 will then be placed in the crib.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-680-B
Description: Based on observation, the provider did not ensure that children's hands were washed with liquid soap and warm running water before meals.
Evidence:
The provider did not ensure that children's hands were washed before eating lunch.

Plan of Correction: Will note that and will do it with all children.
