An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today, January 30, 2020 to determine the provider's compliance with family day home standards. The inspection was initiated at 12:45 pm and concluded at 3:00 pm. Upon the inspector's arrival four children were in care with one caregiver for a total of eight points. Children were observed singing songs with the caregiver. Later children played with toys, puzzles, in the playhouse and watched a video.Hand washing was conducted after toileting. Today's lunch consisted of fish, greens, bananas, spoon bread and milk. The main area used for child care along with a walk through of the entire home was conducted. The family day home is equipped with supplies and age appropriate materials. The following required information was posted; license, most recent inspection notice, emergency numbers, and various additional parent information. The first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were checked and found complete. An evacuation drill was documented on 01/23/2020. The two required shelter-in-place drills for 2019 were completed on 07/29/2019 and 11/22/2019. A lock down drill was documented on 11/22/2019. The inspector interacted with the caregiver and children in care.
Four children's records and two caregiver's records were reviewed.
Per the caregiver: Currently there is no medication being administered. No transportation provided.
