Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance today included: I strongly recommend all required items to be on the same floor as the child care so things are easily accessible to caregivers. The step on trash for diapers should be near the diapering table to prevent spread of germs. The outline of daily activities specific to age groups.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection took place today from 10 am - 1 pm. There were three children present with the provider and assistant for 10 points. I observed children playing with toys, eating snack and preparing for naptime. Records were well-organized and complete.

Description: Based on observation today, there were some areas outdoors that were not maintained in a safe condition.
Evidence:
The play area today had an outdoor carpet that was bunching up despite being taped, causing a tripping hazard. The bottom of the outside of the wooden fence had splintering at child height.

Plan of Correction: The outdoor carpet will be nailed to the side so it doesn't keep bunching that way. The handyman was just out there, inspecting it. I will put tape over for now. (the splintering).,
