Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-480-F
Complaint related: Yes
Description: Based on provider interviews, it was determined that the provider does not properly clean and sanitize the toys that are mouthed by the children daily.
Evidence:
The provider indicated that she does not clean and sanitize the mouthed toys daily. The provider indicated that some of the toys are cleaned with soap and water; and some of the toys are sanitized with a bleach/water solution. However, none of the mouthed toys are cleaned with soap and water followed by being sanitized with bleach and water.

Plan of Correction: All of the toys are cleaned each day, but I will start cleaning and sanitizing all of them each night. I will clean them with soap and water in the sink, then rinse them with warm water, then spray them with a mixed bleach/water solution.
