Technical Assistance:
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs. Set aside time each day to get the children outside to play daily to enure lots of activity after being in front of the computer during school hours.

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 03/08/2021 and concluded on 03/09/2021. The Provider was contacted by email to initiate the inspection. There were two children with one caregivers for 2 points which is within ratio for supervision. Reviewed nutrition, children and household member?s records, trainings and emergency preparation. No medication was reported to be on-site the day of the inspection. Both children were participating in distance learning. Lunch to be served today was chicken and rice, fruit and milk. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-990-B
Description: Based on provider statement, the driver does not have all required information and supplies in the car. when transporting children in her personal vehicle.
Evidence:
1. A complete first aid kit is not available in the car.
2. The name, address, and telephone number of the family day home
3. A copy of the parent's written permission to transport the child
4. A copy of each child's emergency contact information

Plan of Correction: Copies of all required paperwork and emergency inforamtion/first aid kit will be placed in the car.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-280
Description: Based on observation during FaceTime, a cleaning product was not stored in an area inaccessible to children.
Evidence:
A bottle of bleach solution was sitting in the diapering area and within reach of children.

Plan of Correction: The bleach and water solution was moved out of reach of children during the inspection.
