About HPAC
The purpose of HPAC is to advise and make recommendations to the Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) and the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) on improving health outcomes for children in foster care across Commonwealth. It provides oversight to ensure children in foster care receive appropriate services to meet their health needs, including developmental, medical, dental, mental health, and substance abuse needs.
