About eHHR

eHHR logo In 2010, Governor Bob McDonnell announced the establishment of a statewide technology health reform initiative that would play a critical role in how state agencies could transform their human services delivery systems.

Virginia's eHHR (electronic Health & Human Resources) is the innovation behind the transformation — the Commonwealth's transition to online, self-service access to many of the state's health and social services benefit programs — 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Through CommonHelp, Virginians now have online access to:

  • Screen for Potential Eligibility
  • Apply for Benefits
  • Check the Status of Applications
  • Report Changes
  • Complete Benefit Renewals

eHHR will expand CommonHelp into a virtual human services one-stop shop for assistance, benefitting the state, its employees and the citizens we serve.
