A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 5/15/2019 from 2:50pm to 4:50pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 35 children (5-12yrs.) supervised by 3 direct care staff. The physical plant, 3 staff records, 4 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed transitioning into the SACC program after school, completing homework assignments, and drawing. There was an abundance of books, toys, and materials, which were found to be developmentally appropriate for the children in care at the time of inspection. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
