Technical Assistance:
The Licesing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care Programs.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A revewal inspection was initiated and concluded on January 27th, 2021. The Director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 66 children present and 12 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 4 children's records and 4 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. Based on a review of children's records, the center failed to obtain documentation of immunization by the first day of attendance.
Evidence: Child #3's records did not contain documentation of immunizations on the first day of attendance. First day of attendance 9/3/2019.

Description:
Based on a review of children's records, the center failed to obtain documentation of a physical by the 30th day of attendance.
Evidence: Child #3's record did not have documentation of a physical on the date of inspection 1/14/2021. Start date 9/3/2019

Description:
Based on a review of staff records, the center did not obtain documentation of recognizing child abuse and neglect and the legal requirements for reporting suspected child abuse and neglect as required by the Code of Virginia by the first day of employment for all staff.
Evidence: Staff #1's record did not have documentation of Child Abuse and Neglect Training. Start date 11/13/2020.
Plan of Correction:
I will make sure she gets the documentation into her file.
