VDSS offers Recovery Ally Training. This training helps people support others with care, respect and understanding.
The training was developed by Rams in Recovery at Virginia Commonwealth University and the SpiritWorks Foundation.
A resource library is also available. It includes simple tools about prevention, treatment and recovery.
This program helps faith groups support people on their path to recovery. It focuses on:
The program includes Recovery Ally Training and peer recovery support. Peer supporters are people with lived experience who help others through understanding and shared connection.
