Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-73-640-A
Description: Based on observations, chart review and interviews it was determined the facility did not keep current, and implement a written plan for medication management.
Evidence:
Resident A had Haldol stored in the medicine cabinet. The facility was not performing a narcotic count per shift as required on all schedule 2 medications.

Plan of Correction: Corrected at time of the inspection. The Administrator, or another nurse, will perform a routine audit to ensure all narcotics are stored properly, and counted per shift, as required.
