Discussed with center management staff records.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 3:30pm-4:40 pm. 60 children were in care with 5 staff members present. Children were observed during washing hands, eating snack, engaged in group activities using table top toys, and outdoor play time. A selection of staff and children records, emergency drill records and emergency preparedness plan were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B
Description: Based on observation, hazardous substances were not kept in a locked place, making them accessible to the children. Evidence: 1. In the second room to the right, a teacher closet containing cleaning materials and a bottle of medicine was not locked, making the materials accessible to the children.

Plan of Correction: The cabinet was locked during the inspection.
