Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 06/11/18 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Licensing Inspector arrived at 11:55am and departed at 2:15pm to conduct a Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection. At the time of the tour there were 28 children in care with 5 staff present. Children were observed during nap time. One child was observed being dropped off by a school bus. A sample of 4 children's records and 2 staff records were reviewed. The center did not have any medications. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Violations:
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-006-B-11
Description: Based on a record review the licensee did not have a written allergy care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic to and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction. Evidence: Child #4's physical indicated an allergy to peanuts. The center did not have a written allergy plan for child #4 to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic to and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.

Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the owner during the exit interview:Child #4 was just taken to the doctor as the mother thinks he has outgrown the allergy. The mother took home the epi pen. The owner will follow-up with Mom on the status of the allergy.

Standard #: VENDSUB-000-031-A
Description: Based on a record review the vendor's emergency preparedness plan did not include all required components. Evidence: The vendor's emergency plan did not include procedures for a lockdown.

Plan of Correction: The following response was provided by the owner during the exit interview: During the inspection the Owner describe their procedure which they have practiced and hand wrote the policy. It will be included in the next printed version of the plan.
