Background checks (fingerprinting, search of the central registry (CPS), and sworn disclosure statement) are now valid for five years from the original date the check was completed.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted with center director and center staff. There were 50 children present, ranging in age from 2 months to 12 years old, with eight staff actively supervising. The infants were engaged in a variety of age appropriate play, the toddlers and preschool children were having rest time, and the school agers were enjoying the pool located on site. Earlier, the children participated in "International Mud Day". Six emergency medications for four children were reviewed and are in compliance. Afternoon snack served today: graham crackers and watermelon. The last fire inspection was conducted 5/21/2018. The health inspection is due this month. Time of today's inspection: 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Please call me if you have any questions 540-219-4122 or e-mail tara.barton@dss.virginia.gov.
