Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A
Complaint related: Yes
Description: Based on observation and staff interviews, the facility failed to maintain the areas inside the center in a clean condition. Evidence: the lower level of the day care floods due to heavy rain. There is visible water damage on the bottom of several book shelves and cabinets. Though the carpets were reportedly dried, the center owner was not sure what systems were put in place to prevent mold and mildew.

Plan of Correction: The center owner will check with the building owner to see what was done to prevent mold and mildew and will send the report to the licensing inspector.
