An unannounced complaint investigation was conducted to investigate a complaint regarding inappropriate behavioral guidance. The inspection was conducted with the center director and regional director beginning at 1:05 PM and ending at 2:20 PM. Two staff interviews and classroom observation were conducted. One staff interview was conducted on July 3, 2018. An exit meeting was conducted at the center on July 6, 2018. Description: Based on staff interviews, it was determined that staff A did not provide positive behavioral guidance that was constructive in nature, age and stage appropriate. Evidence: Parent stated that staff A did not provide appropriate behavioral guidance that redirected a child's behavior and resolved conflicts.

Plan of Correction: The staff was spoken to regarding the incident and received verbal instructions on positively redirecting children's inappropriate behavior.
