63.2 Facilities and Programs..
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection from 9:50am - 11:45am. There were seven children in care with three staff. The children were observed playing in the center, playing with chalk on the porch and during lunch. Five children's records were reviewed. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observation, the center failed to maintain the facility in a safe condition. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed the porch area located at the main entrance of the facility. There was a screw laying on top of the porch banister accessible to the children. Plan of Correction: The teacher picked up the screw during the inspection and moved it to an area inaccessible to the children.
