Description: Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that the diapering surface was properly sanitized after a diaper change. *"Sanitized" means that the surface is sprayed with the disinfectant solution and allowed to air dry after use of the disinfectant solution. Evidence: 1. One diaper change was observed in the two-year old class at 11:45am. The staff member sprayed the diapering table with bleach and water after completion of the diaper change. However, the disinfectant was not allowed to air dry as the staff member used a paper towel to dry the surface immediately after spraying.

Plan of Correction: 1. As stated above the staff member did clean and sanitize the diapering area but let it air dry for less than required time. The staff member has been retrained to always allow sanitizing and air drying of 2 minutes. After 2 minutes if not completely dried we may use a paper towel to dry surface.
