Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 09/06/2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from approximately 3:30pm-6pm. There were 112 children in the direct care and supervision of 10 staff. A sample of 10 children?s records, 10 staff records and 5 medications were reviewed. The children were observed playing on stage, playing in the gymnasium, crafting in the cafeteria, during transition, and during dismissal. The staff did a great job at meeting the children where they were in relation to their age and stage. Approximately 5 new staff were new to this location since the last visit. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. The exit interview was conducted with the director. If you have any questions, contact Kimberly.Sawyer@dss.virginia.gov. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements.
