Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted September 24 and September 25, 2018. The on-site inspection was held on September 24th from 11:55a.m. to 2:15p.m. On this date, there were 15 children present and in the care of two staff members. There were a total of 17 children enrolled in the preschool program. There were five children's records reviewed. The two staff members' records were reviewed at the MACAA office on 09/25/2018. The classroom was observed, and two staff members and three children were interviewed. There were no medications on-site or being administered. The exceptions to compliance were noted on the violation notice and the risk ratings were listed on the supplemental page. The playground was not observed due to inclement weather. The children had enjoyed making an "A is for Alligators" art project. Some of the items observed and reviewed were: warm water temperature, required posted information, documentation of evacuation and shelter-in-place drills, emergency supplies, first aid kit, nap time, transitions, snack, bathroom and hand washing procedures, and choice time. Please contact me if you have questions concerning this inspection, the licensing standards, and/or if I may be of assistance to you (540) 280-0742.
