Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on September 24 2018 between 7:45am and 9:00am. There were 50 children in the direct care of 5 staff members. Children were observed participating in gym games, completing key chain crafts, working on felt projects, and playing various card games. Staff observed to be consistently engaged. Staff welcomed children into the program and assisted them in getting settled in the various activities. An area of non-compliance is listed on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B
Description: Based on observation, the center did not maintain hazardous substances, such as cleaning materials, in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. Evidence: Cabinet #2 in room #1 was able to be pulled open. On the bottom shelf of the cabinet there were cleaning wipes.

Plan of Correction: Cabinet was locked during inspection.
