Discussed SHSI STANDARDS and implementation of merging these standards into the CDC Standards. School age group size was also discussed.
An unannounced inspection was conducted at 745 AM -850AM. There were 15 children present with 2 staff and another child was present after the group left for school. Interactions with the children, activities, supervision, and hand washing was observed. The Inspector also reviewed children's files, medication procedures, evacuation drills, allergy list, and attendance. The staff files were available for review and deemed current. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observation, piece of equipment inside that is not maintained. Evidence: 1. Two vinyl couches are used in the second room have visible cracks and tears that expose the absorbent foam cushion. Plan of Correction: We will notify office to see if we can repair or replace.
