Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 2:30pm to 5:00pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The center?s director was present and assisted the licensing inspector throughout this inspection. The census for today?s inspection consisted of 40 school-aged children and 5 staff. Upon the inspector?s arrival, two groups of children were preparing for snack and taking bathroom breaks. The children were observed doing homework, and later during free-play activities. The staff were observed providing age appropriate supervision and having positive interactions with the children. The classrooms were equipped with age appropriate toys and supplies. During the inspection, the required postings were reviewed and determined to be in compliance. The following information was also reviewed by the licensing inspector: daily attendance, first aid kit and emergency supplies, menu, fire and shelter-in-place drills, and liability insurance policy. There were five children?s records and five staff records reviewed. There are multiple staff with current MAT certification and Daily Health Observation training on site. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. There were no violations found during this supplemental Subsidy Health and Safety inspection. Last emergency drill: 9/18/2018 Last shelter-in-place drills: 1/17/2018 and 7/16/2018 Last lockdown drill: 09/17/2018 If you have any questions, please contact the licensing inspector, Florence Martus, at (804) 662-9772.
