Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on October 30, 2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This on-site visit was conducted from 2:50 p.m. through 5:00 p.m. There were fifty-one children in the care of five staff. No medication is being administered at the present. Six children's and five staff records were reviewed and updated. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. New subsidy requirements became effective on October 17, 2018. The facility is to review the new requirements and work with their assigned inspector to ensure future compliance Areas observed were: arrival, hand washing/bathroom procedures, snack, table cleaning and sanitizing, and free choice activities in the gym. Interactions between the children and staff were observed as appropriate and the children seem comfortable with the daily routine and schedule.
