Standard #: 63.2-1720.1-B-2
Description: Based on observations, record review and discussion with the staff, the facility failed to ensure that no person shall be hired for compensated employment prior to the facility obtaining an employment eligibility letter upon the completion of a fingerprint background check as required by the Code of Virginia. Evidence: The personnel record for Staff #4 has a documented hire date of 04/04/2018; the fingerprint eligibility letter was dated 04/12/2018.

Plan of Correction: I will update the hiring procedures to ensure that the background check is completed before hiring.
