Comments:
Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced renewal inspection conducted today, November 6, 2018. The on-site inspection was held from 12:40 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. On this date, there were 22 children in the care of four staff members in four classrooms. There was one additional staff member available to assist, as needed. The total enrollment for the program was 31 children. There were five staff members' records and five children's records reviewed. There were five staff members and three children interviewed. The medications and medication paperwork were reviewed for one child. There were no violations of the licensing standards. The theme for the week was We Love Food. All interactions between the children and staff were age appropriate and positive. Items reviewed/observed: required posted information, first aid kit and emergency supplies, warm water temperature, diaper ointments, updated emergency preparedness plan and injury prevention plan, annual health and fire inspections, documentation of evacuation, shelter-in-place, and lockdown drills, injury reports, choice time, naptime, infant care, hand washing and bathroom procedures, diaper changing procedures, afternoon snack, and dismissal procedures.
