Discussed with Center Supervisor: a memo was provided to the facility regarding substantive changes to Child Care regulations that went into effect 10/17/2018. There is a 60 day implementation period for these regulations.

A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 11/07/2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced renewal study was conducted today. There are 54 children after school with 5 staff. 5 staff records were reviewed for specific items only. The staff files are reviewed at another time at the main office. 8 children's records were reviewed. See violation notice for missing information. Injury reports, emergency supplies, first aid supplies, emergency escape drills and shelter-in-place drills are all in compliance. The playground was not inspected today due to inclement weather. Children were observed washing hands, eating snack, doing homework and playing with a variety of games in the room. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
