Suggested obtaining a box to store all the medication for easy evacuation if needed. Discussed the standard of no stuffed toys in cribs to include the animals attached to the pacifiers. Auvi Q training can be found at elearning.medhomeplus.org The center will be making changes to the playground over the winter, adding artificial turf for the surfacing
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 8:30 am-12:30. There were a total of 138 children with 28 staff members present. Children were observed during snack time, circle time, sensory table, painting, mitten story activities, diapering and hand washing. A selection of staff and children records, medications and other documents were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-C Description: Based on a review of medications the center did not obtain duration of the parent's authorization for a long term medication to include written authorization from the child's physician and parent. Evidence: One child's long term medication was at the center with no written authorization from parent or physician. Plan of Correction: The parent was contacted and will provide the signed medication form.
