A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 12/04/2018 from 11:18am to 4:20pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The children were observed playing with toys, playing outside, eating lunch and napping. The infants were observed being fed and napping in cribs. A formal observation was completed with the two year old and three year old classrooms. Lunch consisted of beef tacos with cheese, salad with ranch, pineapples and milk. The lunch menu was posted. Interviews were held with staff throughout the inspection, and the inspector interacted with children in each classroom when appropriate. All classrooms and playgrounds were inspected today. Six children?s records and five employee records were reviewed during this inspection. Medication is being administered and was reviewed. Nine injury reports were reviewed as well as the center?s injury prevention plan which was updated 7/2018. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Last emergency drill: 11/29/2018 Last shelter-in-place drill: 11/29/2018 Last fire inspection: 06/05/2018 Last health inspection: 02/05/2018 Lockdown drill: 7/25/2018 A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. There were no violations found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements. New subsidy requirements became effective on October 17, 2018. The facility has not yet complied with the following requirement(s): [22VAC40-665-400 Procedures for the continuity of operations to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency must be included in the emergency response plan.] The facility is to review the new requirements and work with their assigned inspector to ensure future compliance.
