63.2 Facilities & Programs.
The inspector conducted an unannounced mandated inspection from 9:40 until 1:30. There were 35 children in care with staff supervising at all times. The cook and director were also present. Infants were observed playing, being fed at the table, being fed a bottle, and sleeping. Children were observed playing outside, playing inside, eating lunch, washing hands and during rest time. Six children's records and five staff records were reviewed. The violations from the last inspection had been corrected. No medications were reported being on site and/or being administered. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on record review, the center did not have up to date documentation of child updates of information in the file. Evidence: 1. The inspector reviewed five records. One of five records (#1) did not contain an update, the last one was completed 10/26/2017. Plan of Correction: The director will update the file and all files.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation, the center did not keep all hazardous substances locked. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed a bottle of Clorox unlocked in the school-age classroom and a bottle of liquid detergent in the office by the school-age classroom. Plan of Correction: Corrected during the inspection, staff will be reminded to keep all h.substances locked.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-430-F Description: Based on measurement, the center had bare flooring under portions of indoor slide and climbing equipment. Evidence: 1. The inspector measured the indoor slide and steps and it measured over 18 inches and some areas did not have padding on the floor. Plan of Correction: Corrected during the inspection.
