The facility chart of children with diagnosed food allergies and dietary restrictions was discussed with the program director.
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 1/11/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspector arrived at 11:15 AM and departed at 2:40 PM. Nineteen children were in care with four staff. Lunch service, nap time and afternoon activities were observed. A sample size of five children's records and five staff records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-780-A-3 Description: Based upon review of the emergency drill records, the facility has not ensured that lockdown procedures were practiced at least annually.
1. The record of emergency drills for 2018 did not include documentation of a lockdown drill.
2. Staff 1 was unable to provide documentation of a lockdown drill for 2018.
Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following: At least one lockdown drill will be practiced and documented each year.
