New subsidy requirements became effective on October 17, 2018. There was a 60 day implementation period between 10/17/2018 and 12/14/2018. A copy of the new subsidy requirements will be emailed to the Director.
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 01/10/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 2:20pm-3:40pm. There were 36 school age children directly supervised by 3 staff. The physical plant, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Staff files were reviewed on an earlier date through the County of Loudoun, Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services main office located in Ashburn, Virginia. Children were observed arriving to the program, washing hands, eating snack, doing homework, art, and playing table games. The cafeteria was found to be clean, safeguarded appropriately, and adequately supplied with equipment and supplies. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-770-B Description: Based on review of emergency procedures, the emergency preparedness plan was incomplete. Evidence: The emergency preparedness plan did not include procedures for the continuity of operations to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency. Plan of Correction: we will add the required information to the emergency plan.
