Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 01/17/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 9:20am - 11:30am. Upon arrival there were 71 children in care with 16 staff present. A sample of 4 staff and 7 children's records were reviewed in addition to 1 medication. Children were observed outside on the playground, playing in learning centers and during circle time. Infants were observed sleeping in cribs. The lunch menu for the day was grilled chicken nuggets, oranges, mixed vegetables, wheat bread and milk. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Description: Based on a record review the vendor did not have documentation of a procedure that explained the continuity of operations procedures to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency. Evidence: The vendor's emergency preparedness plan did not include a procedure that addressed the continuity of operations procedures to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency. The director stated the corporate office is working on creating the procedure.
