22VAC40-191 Background Checks (22VAC40-191)

An announced initial monitoring inspection was conducted today 1/28/2019. There were no children in care. The center request 39 capacity. The room measurements will allow for 39 capacity. The age range requested is 6 weeks to five years. There are two classrooms that will be divided infants to 2 years and 2 years to 5 years. Meals and Snacks will be provided by the center. The inspector arrived at 9:30 A.M. and departed at 12:10 P.M. Discussion with the administer and director: diaper disposal pail, sight supervision in the classrooms, medications requirements vs MAT best practices, teacher's desk in the classroom, diaper bags and bookbags, center supplies and record keeping.

Description: Based on observation of the first aid kit, the center failed to ensure that the kit was complete. Evidence: 1. The first aid kit was missing one of the two required triangular bandages.

Plan of Correction: During the inspection the director ordered eight triangular bandages.

Description: Based on observation, the center failed to have all non medical emergency supplies. Evidence: 1. The center did not have a battery operated radio.

Plan of Correction: During the inspection the director order a radio.
