An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:15am-11:30am. A total of 20 children and 3 staff were present. Childre were engaged in various independent and group activities. Children were observed during handwashing, while preparing snack and while actively engaged in the Montessori curriculum. A sample of 7 children's records, 1 new staff record, emergency drills, physical plant, medications and other documents were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are documented on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-E Description: Based on observations, a medication was not properly labeled. Evidence: A child's name, the name of the medication, dosage amount and time to be given was not labeled on an emergency medication for Child #1. Plan of Correction: We will return the medication to the parents.
