- Technical Assistance:
Discussion on use of equipment and equipment brought from home. Please be aware of safety issues when using certain equipment on hard surfaces. Discussion on areas of playground and adequate supervision. Staff to child ratios are required in each area of programming (cafeteria and gym)
An unannounced Renewal inspection was conducted this date. A total of 34 children with 2 staff present today. When the inspector arrived, the children and staff were on the outside playground. Observation of the children playing was conducted for 30 minutes. The children were playing on the playground equipment, bouncing basketballs, in small groups playing on the sidewalk. The children lined up and transitioned back inside where they washed hands and prepared for snack. Snack today was milk, yogurt and graham crackers. Homework was encouraged by staff and small groups organized to complete homework, read books and complete arts or play on laptops. A group of children entered the gym area with one staff to play basketball. A total of 6 children's records, medication and emergency procedures were reviewed today. CPR/First Aid, daily health and MAT training was verified. Staff records are reviewed annually at the administrative office. This inspection began at 3:05pm and ended at 5pm.
