Technical Assistance:
**Discussed requirements for a possible change in site location. A license modification must be approved before care can commence at a location other than the one listed on the current license. **Discussed supervision of children while in areas adjacent to classrooms.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:45am-12:05pm. There were 41 children directly supervised by 4 staff. The physical plant, 4 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in book discussion, preparing to go outdoors, setting the table for lunch and participating in both independent and group Montessori activities. Interactions between children and staff were observed to be positive and constructive in nature. Hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-N
Description: Based on medication review, medications were not disposed within 14 days of expired authorization. Evidence: Child 1's Medication A has an authorization which expired on 1/2/2019.

Plan of Correction: A new form will be sent home with the parents of the child today.
