Comments:
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection, at which breakfast time, personal hygiene, play groups, group time, music time, and activities were observed. Children were observed; and staff and children files and other documentation were reviewed. Forty-one (41) children, aged 23 months-5 years, were found to be in care with 7 staff, kitchen staff, and administrative staff. Previous violations were reviewed, and had been corrected. Please contact me if you need further assistance. Thank you for your cooperation. This inspection began at 8:30am and concluded at 10:30am.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-A
Description: Based on review of medications and discussions with staff the facility failed to maintain compliance with this standard as required related to authorization to administer medications and out of date medications. Evidence: The medication for child B expired February 2019 and was in the active medication administration box. The permission to administer the medication was unavailable and not located during the inspection. The medication authorization for Child A had expired as of 3/23/2019 and the medication was in the active medication administer box.

Plan of Correction: All medication and authorization to administer forms will be immediately updated to ensure compliance. Medications will continue to be reviewed for compliance by administrative staff to ensure future compliance.
