Technical Assistance:
We reviewed the requirements for resilient surfacing and fall zones. Also, the outside activity table will need to be checked regularly for water from precipitation. As a reminder, a minimum of two shelter-in-place drills are required annually. Updates to the injury prevention plan must be conducted annually and documented with completion of a review of the program, services and injury records.

Comments:
Thank you for your assistance during today's unannounced renewal inspection conducted from 9:56 AM to 4:10 PM. Today, there were thirty children, ages three to five years, with four to five staff. I viewed program activities, daily routines, equipment, staffing, supervision, interactions with children, posted information, medication, insurance, injury records, agency inspections, five records for children, ten staff records, staff qualifications, staff training, nutrition, menu, indoor and outdoor areas. The children have enjoyed planned activities using recycled materials. The children enjoyed a variety of classroom activities at interest areas. Outside activities have been available on the playground. The teachers were observed providing attentive supervision and frequent interactions with children.

Issuance of a renewed license will be recommended once the remaining information needed for business entity representatives has been submitted. Let me know if you need any assistance. 540/430-9259
